Little Magic Stories: Interactive Art With The Kinect

While you may watch this video and file it under "drama" class activities, I would argue it could easily fit into technology class.

Chris O'SHea having fun with a hacked MS Kinect.

"This latest experiment is a performance system called Little Magic Stories. It uses a Kinect sensor and a glass screen to create a "Pepper's Ghost" illusion. Kids can create and animate their own little characters and then interact with them, catching eggs, smacking bugs, and running wild on stage."

O'SHea further explains the setup for the video here: Little Magic Stories: Interactive Art With The Kinect

Certainly few schools have PS3s & Kinects "lying around", however how many teacher's have children with these toys??

Sharing is caring! ... Show & tell
